Island
The Madeira Archipelago island, is localized 600 miles
from the European mainland, it is of volcanic origin, and consists of
the Madeira island, Selvagens and Desertas. Its annual average temperature
is aproximally 16-23ºC.
It's natural beauty offers a one of a unique exuberant landscape, with
natural scenes of rare beauty, ranging from it's peculiar beans to it's
mountains and cliffs. It also consist of an indigenes forest, which
posses a wide variety of fauna and flora with rare and unique rare species.
One of the best ways to explore this beauty is hiking trails, which
are accompanied by the "Levadas", man made irrigation channel,
wich made possible the cultivation of the land and survival of the people
of the island.
